Tom Brady
Tom Brady dramatically announced his return to the NFL for the next season. The 45-year old quarterback resorted to unfinished business as the main cause for him coming back into the fray, after a 40-day hiatus from the game.
However ever since he announced his retirement on February 2nd there was widespread rumours that he would eventually return, and he did prove them right a couple of nights ago.
Tom Brady returned to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after his retirement
Tom Brady’s co-host Jim Gray, spoke on why he felt his compatriot eventually returned to the pitch. The seven time Super Bowl champion did not surprise Jim Gray with his comeback.
Gray said, “I don’t think Tom wanted to be sitting there, out of the game and watching football in September and thinking, ‘I’m as good as those guys. I can still do this. I still love it.’”
“It takes a whole lot to turn off that love of the game,” Gray said. “[Brady] would not play if he didn’t think he could win the Super Bowl.”
Tampa Bay Buccaneers were glad to see the return of their star quarterback, as they look to build a roster to challenge for the Super Bowl this season. The Bucs failed to reach the world championship this season, after their defeat in the playoffs.
