“A fascist moron,” Tucker Carlson slams Ron Rivera for fining Jack Del Rio $100k on his January 6 controversial comments

Jack Del Rio made a controversial comment a few days back when he compared the January 6th 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol to the riots of 2020 following the death of George Floyd. This has garnered great interest in all parts of the country including the media.

Prominent media personality, Tucker Carlson, however, stood behind the under-fire Jack Del Rio and slammed the Washington Commanders’ head coach, Ron Rivera for imposing a $100k fine on the franchise’s defensive coordinator.

Ron Rivera did not side with Jack Del Rio’s comments and it led to Tucker Carlson criticising him

Speaking on his show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, the host criticized the decision made by Rivera and called him a fascist moron. He even went a bit further and called him, a Maoist for handing out the fine on Jack Del Rio.

Tucker Carlson said, “Oh, he thought he had a right to respectfully express himself in the land of the free. But it turns out, no. Just hours ago the coach of the Washington Commanders, a fascist moron called Ron Rivera, announced that Jack Del Rio has no right to talk and he’s being fined $100,000 for doing it.”

“If you can think of a line more filled with cant dishonesty and propaganda than that, send us a text and tell us what it is because we can’t. That’s just flat-out Maoist.”

These criticisms for Ron Rivera came in after he spoke at a press conference, saying that Jack Del Rio’s comments did not indicate what the franchise believe.

Ron Rivera said, “[Del Rio’s] comments do not reflect the organization’s views and are extremely hurtful to our great community here in the DMV [D.C.-Maryland-Virginia]. As we saw last night in the hearings, what happened on the Capitol on January 6, 2021 was an act of domestic terrorism. A group of citizens attempted to overturn the results of a free and fair election, and as a result lives were lost and the Capitol building was damaged.”
