“Vikings can’t have a normal game”: Twitter goes crazy after Vikings almost blew a 29-0 lead against Steelers

Dalvin Cook

Vikings, Oh the Vikings, they never cease to amaze. It would be fair to say that the team from Minnesota likes close encounters more than any other side in the competition. In the game against the Lions, they faltered under pressure and allowed them to register their first win after a whopping 364 days.

When the Vikings stepped in to play against the Steelers in their latest encounter, they had a point to prove. It would be fair to say that they started off brilliantly and at a point, it looked like this is going to be a one-sided encounter. The Vikings were leading 29-0 and it all looked well and good for them.

However, just when Steelers fans would have started losing hope, their team scripted a fantastic comeback. The Steelers outscored the Vikings 28-13 in the second half. However, in the final moments of the game, a touchdown pass for tight end Pat Freiermuth was knocked out of his hands which sealed the deal for the Vikings.

Thankfully for the Vikings, Dalvin Cook had a fantastic game as the running back totaled 205 yards and scored two important touchdowns. The 205 yards covered by him were a season-high by any running back this season which is enough to prove how good he was.

Although the Vikings ended up winning the encounter, it won’t be wrong to say that their confidence would have been shaken after what happened in the latter half of the game against the Steelers. The Vikings will next take on the Cardinals, while the Steelers will face the Titans in their next encounter.
