Was Tua Tagovailoa Tested For PED’s Multiple Times As Brian Flores Did Not Believe His Body Transformation Was Real?
Tua Tagovailoa and Brian Flores
Brian Flores is a vastly experienced coach who has several successful stints with top franchises. Starting his journey as a Graduate Assistant for Boston College back in 2003, the man has made a name for himself in the world of the NFL.
In 2019 after the Patriots won their 6th Super Bowl title, Brian was hired as a head coach by the Dolphins. Although the Dolphins did win a few tough games under Flores, they weren’t able to reach the playoffs in all three seasons. Hence, recently, the franchise decided to fire Brian Flores.
“You can’t treat people that way”: Tua wasn’t pleased with coach Flores’ behavior
However, after the news of Brian’s exit from the Dolphins came out, a lot of possible reasons behind the franchise’s decision started surfacing. One of them was that there was a rift between Tua Tagovailoa and Brian due to which the franchise was compelled to fire Flores.
Another rumor was that Brian just couldn’t believe that Tua’s body transformation was real and forced him to get tested for Performance Enhancement Drugs on more than one occasion. According to reports, one time, Tua was heard yelling at Flores “you can’t treat people this way.”
While Flores didn’t have the best of seasons with Dolphins, one can’t deny the fact that after starting off poorly, he guided the team to several emphatic wins. The Dolphins won 8 out of their last 9 games. Hence, Flores’ firing did shock a lot of people.
Media reports suggest that Tua even said on one occasion that Flores doesn’t know how to talk to people and the relationship between them kept rotting over time. ESPN’s Jeff Darlington also claimed that the Dolphins decided to favor the QB and fired Flores as soon as the season ended.
