"This relationship will support further development":NFL and XFL announce new innovative partnership
The NFL and XFL have successfully started a new association which will improve ties between the two leagues. The two have come together for a new innovative partnership.
This new association is basically a test kit for the NFL to try out some new changes in regulations, proposed rules, test new equipment, and develop prospective officials and coaches to see how they will be impacting the game. The XFL will be in acting as a ‘petri dish’ for their new innovations.
XFL and NFL come together to announce new partnership
Although some people may think that with this bond, the XFL is demoting itself to a lower status but that is not the case and they have made it very clear indeed. The XFL considers itself a major league and states that they are to be considered in the elite squad.
“That’s a no. We are a spring league. We will play at the highest level in the spring. There is not the anticipation of any player sharing that changes the dynamic. That’s not how we’re executing our vision.”
“One of the things we made clear starting off is that we were going to take a stewardship position on the game and the game of football, expanding it, and being impactful to the industry.”
Furthermore the XFL believes that this association is not only benefitting for both the leagues but also for the game in general. They think for further development this partnership will be important. ESPN has reported the statement from XFL.
“The XFL has shown us that innovation is one of its core principles. We are hopeful that this relationship will support further development and improvements in the game of football at all levels.”
