Juju Smith Schuster has had a meteoric rise in the NFL, after he first made the move to the big league in 2017. He was roped in by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2nd round of the 2017 NFL draft as the wide receiver continued his upward rise from college football.
A video was recently released by the NFL, which capsulated the emotions felt by the Schuster family and Juju Smith Schuster himself on the day when he got to know of his fate in the 2017 draft.

The video was filmed on the day of the draft in 2017, and it shows the exact phone call made by Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin to inform Juju of their plans of picking him up in the draft.
“Juju, Mike Tomlin Pittsburgh Steelers,” said Steelers head coach on the phone call. Juju Smith Schuster responded, “What’s up Mike? I’m at home mate, back with the family.”. “Hey you healthy?” “Yes Sir.”
Mike Tomlin continued, “Great man, we interested in making you a Pittsburgh Steeler, if you alright with that.”
“Yes Sir. Thank you. Thank you, Jesus,” said the wide receiver as he began to break down on the phone call. Mike Tomlin finished off by saying, “We’re on the clock next, so just sit tight and we’ll take you with our selection. Juju, Welcome to the Pittsburgh Steelers, my man.”
After the phone call was over, his entire family could not hold back their emotions and they all cried and congratulated their star for making it into the NFL. The family cheered him on after the announcement was made officially on their television, in what will be one of the most joyous moments of their lives.
Juju Smith Schuster has gone to leave the Pittsburgh Steelers this season, as he made the move to the Kansas City Chiefs to start a new journey in the upcoming 2022 season.
