After what Thursday Night Football showed the footballing world, fans are excited about one more battle that will commence in NFL Week 10. The Houston Texans vs. Detroit Lions Sunday Night Football matchup can prove to be another clash of titans. But health issues for some players could dampen the Jared Goff and CJ Stroud battle.

The most obvious injury on the Texans is with regards to Stefon Diggs‘ season-ending injury. He was supposed to lead the line and will be missed against the stud Lions’ defense. But their other two wideouts also are questionable ahead of this game. Injuries on the defensive side mean oddsmakers favor the Lions.

Why can the Detroit Lions win?

There is a reason betting companies have favored the Detroit Lions. Every week they go out onto the field, they look like the best or the second-best team in the league. They even went to the extent of embarrassing opponents as they experimented with plays.

Jared Goff is playing the best football of his career after signing a mega contract extension this offseason. The offensive line dominates as the best in the league, even without their leading left tackle. Their defense may have lost Aidan Hutchinson. However, his replacement, Za’Darius Smith, is scheduled to start.

HC Dan Campbell, OC Ben Johnson, and DC Aaron Glenn form a strong combination. Together, they wreak havoc on any team coming their way. They know the injuries their opponents this NFL Week 10 are facing and expect them to take full advantage of it.

Why can the Houston Texans win?

Speaking of coaches, Houston Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans seems to be woven from the same cloth as Campbell. The two former players work some magic with the way they set up their teams to win. Expect Ryans to rally his healthy players to step up in the face of adversity.

The team has talent all over the place, which makes them as good a threat as their opponents. If the starter replacements can step up, they could complement the other superstars in helping CJ Stroud string together a good game. They went to the playoffs last season with less talent, so one cannot count them out in this NFL Week 10 battle.
