Russell Wilson will lead the 8-2 Pittsburgh Steelers to the den of the 2-8 Cleveland Browns for a crucial AFC North clash on Thursday, November 21. The Steelers have the upper hand and will look to continue their winning streak to cement their place in the playoffs.

The Browns, on the other hand, lost the last two games against the Los Angeles Chargers and the New Orleans Saints, giving away combined more than 50 points. It will be quarterback Jameis Winston’s first appearance against the Steelers in his decade-long career.

The Steelers have a 79-62-1 overall record against the Browns, but the Cleveland team rarely loses this fixture at home. The Browns have a 41-29-1 record at Huntington Bank Field, and they won their last meeting 13-10 back in November 2023.

It’s a much-changed side from that game, but running back Jerome Ford is still around at the Dawg Pound, who scored the all-important touchdown to secure the victory.

Why the Pittsburgh Steelers can win?

Russell Wilson remains unbeaten since taking over from Justin Fields in Week 7. The veteran quarterback threw 942 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions. Wilson’s inclusion in the team elevated wide receiver Geroge Pickens’ game. Pickens completed 48 passes for 728 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Najee Harris carried the ball 175 times (6th best) for 708 yards and three touchdowns.

The man to watch for the Steelers will be none other than TJ Watt, who has 7.5 sacks and four forced fumbles. The Browns also need to be wary of both Alex Highsmith (3 sacks) and Cam Heyward (5 sacks).

Steelers allowed the fewest touchdowns (17 joint top with the Detroit Lions) in the league and gave up 305.3 yards per game (8th best). They have the fourth-best rushing defense, allowing just 90.8 yards, and ninth-best red zone defense, conceding just 35.0% of the chances.

Why the Cleveland Browns can win?

The Browns’ defense dropped off massively compared to the 2023 season when they were among the best. Currently, they languish in the 19th spot, allowing 342.7 yards per game (30 total touchdowns). Yet they are the fifth-best red zone defense, conceding just 33.1% of the chances. It proves if they struggle to stop long balls, and the running backs are the Achilles heel.

Reigning DPOY Myles Garrett has seven sacks and two forced fumbles, and he has to lead from the front to stop Wilson from finding his wide receiver targets.
