The Week 5 matchup between the Houston Texans and the Buffalo Bills is set out to be a fierce and nail-biting thriller between two of the best teams in the NFL. While one team is coming off a clutch victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the other is reeling from a brutal 35-10 loss to the Ravens.

C.J. Stroud orchestrated the perfect game-winning drive for the Houston Texans and then finished off the play with a clutch touchdown pass to Dare Ogunbowale. Things were not as optimistic for Josh Allen and the Bills as they were run over by the beast, Derrick Henry.

Yet, the Buffalo Bills should not be counted out. The team got off to a hot 3-0 start and despite their loss last week, Josh Allen continues to have the highest QBR in the NFL. History is in his favor as he is 22-8 in his career after a loss.

For C.J. Stroud and the Texans, a statistic they would prefer to focus on is the fact that Buffalo has not won a game in NRG Stadium since 2006. Stroud will hope to connect a lot with the latest addition to the team’s offense, Stefon Diggs. The wideout will be going against his former team and is bound to bring his best.

Why can the Houston Texans win?

The Texans are a closely-knit group of young and hungry players. The team will be motivated to beat Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to make a statement to their opponents.

Stefon Diggs will be rubbing his hands in eagerness as he awaits a chance to clap back at Josh Allen. His former quarterback took a subtle dig at him earlier this week and the wideout has yet to respond. His best chance to do so would be on Sunday by significantly impacting the game.

Why can the Buffalo Bills win?

After a hot 3-0 start to the season, Buffalo will look to get back to its winning ways. Week 4 was a disaster but the Texans are no Ravens. Besides Houston heads into Sunday’s game without Joe Mixon which will be a relief for the Bills’ defense.

Josh Allen will miss wideout Khalil Shakir who has been ruled out for Sunday’s game but there has never been a better time for the man that took Stefon Diggs’ place in Buffalo to step up. That would be rookie Keon Coleman. Josh Allen has been phenomenal so far this season, he has yet to commit a turnover.

The Texans-Bills matchup is undoubtedly one of the most exciting games to keep an eye out for this Sunday!
