Fantasy football has become almost a tradition for fans before the season kicks off. Create your own team full of star players who could light up the NFL and compete with others around the world. But there are a few things to remember when finalizing a dream team. One has to keep in mind who is on the PUP list (Physically Unable to Perform).
Numerous players will receive the tag before Week 1 of the season begins. It means that if a player gets injured during training camp, they may be moved to the reserve/PUP list. If they fail to recover when the preseason ends, the franchise can ban them from participating in practice and games for the first six weeks of the NFL season. Moreover, they will not be counted as part of the 53-man roster.
So fantasy football users need to be aware of which players are on the main roster. Not possessing the data about the choice of players can cause a nuisance when the season starts. So always keep an eye on the PUP list before deciding upon a player, even if he is a Super Bowl MVP.
As per ESPN.com‘s Mike Sando, from the sixth regular season weekend until the 11th week, a player on the PUP list can rejoin the roster for practice. From then on, the franchise has a maximum of 21 days to take him off the list. Then the fantasy football enthusiasts can use that player once more.
