Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes is one of the leading American football quarterbacks in the National Football League and is well and truly en route to becoming one of the best of all time. Patrick Mahomes was born on the 17th of September, 1995, to Randi Gall Martin and Patrick Lavon Mahomes in Tyler, a city in the US state of Texas. Mahomes’ ethnicity is mixed because his mother Randi is Caucasian while his father, Pat Mahomes Sr. is of African American descent.
While Patrick Mahomes‘ father has his roots in Africa, he is an American citizen (and a former professional athlete no less being a professional baseball pitcher), as is his mother, who is speculated to have her family roots in Europe.
Being of a mixed race, the 27-year-old shares genes from both ethnicities, but his mother’s gene gains prominence regarding the quarterback’s skin color. Mahomes would have nearly been on a professional baseball team.

Patrick Mahomes’ father, Pat Mahomes, is a former Major League Baseball pitcher, who played for the Boston Red Sox, New York Mets, Texas Rangers, Chicago Cubs, and the Pittsburgh Pirates, during the 1990s. It is no surprise that the quarterback got the sporting and athletic genes from his father.
Mahomes’ mother, Randi, on the other hand, is a highly esteemed event planner who has her own website, through which she sells branded products including totes, clutches, sunglass cases, and passport books.
While Pat Mahomes and Randi got divorced in 2006, the couple has shared an amicable relationship. They are also parents to Jackson Mahomes, who has also gained a few fans courtesy of his shenanigans online. Mahomes’ parents remain the biggest supporters of the Chiefs quarterback, as evident by their presence in the stands throughout the season.
