NFL Draft is one of the most important processes in building strong. The Draft allows teams to select a player from a pool of talented college athletes. But it is a long and exhausting process, teams will evaluate a player using various methods in hopes of finding a good fit for their franchise. There are NFL Combine, Pro Day, and individual pre-Draft visits that will allow the teams to analyze an athlete.
We’re just weeks away from the 2023 NFL Draft and teams are working hard to find the player that could make an immediate difference in the league. Especially, the QB-needy teams are desperate to get a good young quarterback from this draft and there are a handful of good signal-callers in the 2023 class including the Alabama QB Bryce Young and the Ohio State QB C.J. Stroud.
Apart from those other QBs like Will Levis and Stetson Bennett are also in the mix. But obviously, not everyone will get drafted in the early rounds. In fact, some of them might not get drafted at all. With that in mind let’s take a look at the Georgia Bulldogs QB Stetson Bennett’s draft stock.

Stetson Bennett’s draft stock
Stetson Bennett’s net worth is around $3 million and he is one of the most accomplished QBs in the 2023 draft class. He has led the Georgia Bulldogs to back-to-back national championship victories and was a finalist in the 2022 Heisman Trophy voting.
He was a walk-on at Georgia and managed to win the starting QB job beating the 5-star prospect JT Daniels. During the 2022 season, Bennett threw for 4128 yards and accumulated 37 total touchdowns. Despite his impressive accomplishments on the field, Bennett has failed to impress the NFL scouts and has remained under the radar so far.
Stetson Bennett’s off-field activities have plummeted his draft stock
Stetson Bennett’s off-the-field activities such as rejecting an invitation to the Senior Bowl and getting arrested for public intoxication have not helped his cause. When you pair his off-field fiascos with his not-so-impressive physical attributes, teams will simply look the other side.
Also, some scouts consider, the 25-year-QB would be a bit of a risk due to his age. Teams believe that he might not have enough time to adjust to the pace of the NFL. For comparison, Jalen Hurts has been in the league for 3 years and has been to Super Bowl, and is still just 24 years old. Bennett doesn’t have time on his side to develop in the league.
However, there are still plenty of teams in the league that are in a dire need of QB and don’t have a high enough pick to select the top-tier quarterback prospects. Those teams might take a chance at Bennett by selecting him on Day 2 or Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The late-round selections, especially quarterbacks often just end up as a backup in the league. However, Bennett obviously has the potential and if he has the heart to work hard, only the sky’s the limit in this league.
