The draft is usually a 3-day affair and this year it’s the same. The NFL draft will begin on the 27th of April 2023 and will go on till the 29th of April.

In these 3 days, 7 rounds of players will be chosen who will decide their fortunes in the league. This year, the draft is taking place in the iconic Kansas City, the home of the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs.

The draft will be held in the downtown area and is expected to start by 8 pm on the 27th. However, timings will vary on the 28th as it is expected to start by 7 pm, and on the 29th it will start by 12pm.

The draft is a highly organized process where each team gets a certain time to pick a player and if the time has passed then their pick gets absconded. This year the duration for the picks is as follows. The first-round picks will get 10 minutes per pick whereas it keeps on decreasing as the rounds keep increasing.

In round 2, teams will get 7 minutes per pick, rounds 3-6 are 5 minutes per selection and ultimately round 7 will be 4 minutes per selection. With Carolina Panthers are slated to be the first team to pick this year. This NFL draft is set to defy expectations and be the best in recent years.
