The 2023 NFL Draft is now a mere few days away and fans can’t wait to see the new faces that will be gracing these elite teams. There is a lot of raw and new talent around and one of them is 6 feet 4 inches and 246 pounds University of Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson.
The four-star prospect is deemed to be one of the top picks ahead of the draft and performed brilliantly at the NFL Combine, running 40 yards in 4.43 seconds. With that rifle of an arm of his, many top teams will be having their eyes fixed on him.

Which college did Anthony Richardson attend?
Having been born in Miami, Florida, Anthony Richardson attended school at the Eastside High School in Gainesville, Florida, wherein he played as quarterback for his school team. During his time with the school, he recorded 4,633 passing yards with 37 passing touchdowns as well as 1,633 rushing yards and 41 touchdowns.
What is Anthony Richardson’s educational background?
After finishing high school, Anthony Richardson went on to play college football for the University of Florida. He was unable to perform well in his first season and appeared for just four games in the 2020 season. However, things quickly changed the following year when he came on to replace Emory Jones.
In that appearance itself, he completed 10 of 19 passes for 167 yards with three touchdowns. All in all, during his college career, he recorded 3,105 passing yards with 24 touchdowns and rushed for 1,116 yards with twelve rushing touchdowns.
How has Anthony Richardson performed in college football?
In 2022, under Billy Napier, Anthony Richardson became the top quarterback of the Gators and it did benefit him for the good. He completed 53.8% of his passes for 2,549 yards, which came with 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions across 12 games in 2022. Additionally, he also added 654 rushing yards on 103 carries.
Richardson has had a few struggles at the top team with the likes of the University of San Francisco and Kentucky, but overall he impressed everyone with his explosive ability and range of passing. The Las Vegas Raiders and Minnesota Vikings are reportedly two teams interested in the young QB.
All in all, there is a lot to like about Anthony Richardson and he does have the potential to be a future star, but consistency is something that he needs to check.
