On August 14, 2023, Oher filed a legal petition to end a conservatorship. He claims that Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy, who were depicted in the movie “The Blind Side,” lied about adopting him and made money off his name. “I am disheartened by the revelation shared in the lawsuit today,” Oher expressed in a statement released to PEOPLE on August 15 by a spokesperson for the ex-NFL player.

Michael Oher resides in a $1.3 million house located in Brentwood. This Super Bowl XLVII champion acquired the property, which was originally priced at $1.43 million. The house, built in 2007, stands on 2.1 acres of land and boasts 8,126 square feet of living space.
