The NFL free agency is an interesting period. The free agency allows the NFL teams to pursue proven veterans who can help their franchise become better. But it is not always a good thing. Most of the time, teams do get better after free agency but sometimes the free agency ruins franchises. The best players in a particular would end up somewhere else after free agency.

Players leave a team for a lot of reasons, for money or to be a part of a contender, or in search of more playing minutes and more. Just like this, the year of free agency has also left a team in a vulnerable situation.

In this article, we will find which NFL team has had the worst free agency so far. Is it the Raiders who lost their franchise QB? No, they have replaced Derek Carr with a cheaper version of him. So what other team has failed to score big in this off-season? And the answer to that question is the Baltimore Ravens.

Yes, the Packers might lose their franchise QB Aaron Rodgers but he is 39 years old, and the Packers were going to get rid of him themselves in one or two years. Now they will at least get good compensation for him from the Jets. Other than Rodgers, the Packers have only lost Allen Lazard, a wide receiver who hasn’t even had a single 800 receiving yards season in 4 years. The Jets are literally doing the Packers a favor by taking these two players off of Green Bay’s roster.

On the other hand, the Ravens couldn’t convince Lamar Jackson to stay with them. Jackson has requested a trade and will potentially move to a different team next season. Furthermore, the Ravens have added only one player in the off-season so far and that is the former Patriots wide receiver Nelson Agholor, who had more drops (3) than touchdowns (2) catches in the 2022 season.

The Ravens also lost two of their starting offensive linemen and have not signed a replacement yet. In addition, the Baltimore-based franchise lost 3 starting defensive linemen and has yet to re-sign 2 defensive backs who hit free agency in 2023. On top of all this, the Ravens GM Eric DeCosta is entering the 2023 NFL Draft with the fewest picks in the Ravens’ history since the 1999 draft.

In brief, the Ravens are losing a lot of their star players including their franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson. And in return, they have only signed a wide receiver, who is way past his prime. So, this could be a long off-season for the Ravens fans.
