Terry Crews is an American actor and a former professional football player. Crews is known for his comical roles and is currently regarded as one of the most influential actors in the industry.
The 54-year-old was born in a strict Christian household and attended Western Michigan University on an art scholarship while playing football for the Western Michigan Broncos.
Crews switched from football to acting after spending several years playing professionally in the NFL, and today, he is now well-known for his work in both cinema and television. He has acted in a number of films and TV shows, including Everybody Hates Chris, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Expendables, and Deadpool 2.
Speaking up about his personal experiences and pushing for change in the entertainment industry and beyond, Crews has also been a champion for victims of sexual assault and harassment. He has received praise for his activism, and as a member of the “Silence Breakers” movement, he was named one of Time magazine’s “Persons of the Year” in 2017.
However, several years ago, nobody would have thought that Terry Crews would become an actor. The American producer was comfortably playing in the NFL and was having a great time there.

Terry Crews was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams
Crews had registered himself for the 1991 NFL draft after playing college football in the Western Michigan University, where he was a defensive end and a linebacker for the Western Michigan Broncos. He played for the team from 1986 to 1989, and during his college career, he recorded a total of 52 tackles and 6.5 sacks.
He was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the 11th round of the 1991 NFL Draft. He played two seasons for the Rams, from 1991 to 1992, primarily as a special teams player.
Crews had a short stint with the Rams where he just played 6 games for them before moving to another team. During his time with the Rams, Crews recorded a total of 5 tackles and 1 sack.

Terry Crews played in the NFL for 7 seasons. However, in those 7 seasons, he was part of 5 different teams. Crews has a varied portfolio of playing in the NFL.
After leaving the Rams, the American actor moved to the Packers, but fate was unlucky and he got no gametime there. To try his luck elsewhere, he then played for the San Diego Chargers for one season before being traded to the Washington Redskins, where he played for one season. He finished his NFL career playing for the Philadelphia Eagles for two seasons.
Crews played just 32 games in his 7 years in the NFL. He recorded a total of 57 tackles and 2.5 sacks during his career. The Hollywood star was moved from team to team each season, and this made him realize that his true passion is something else altogether. Terry Crews retired in 1997 and moved to LA to pursue his acting career which he became very successful at.
