The Los Angeles Chargers face the Houston Texans at the NRG Stadium in Houston to kickoff the Wild Card round of the NFL. The Houston Texans finished first in the AFC South and the Los Angeles Chargers qualified with the first wildcard spot.
The Chargers and Texans will meet for the first time in postseason history, though the Chargers previously played a playoff game in Texas. In 1960, during the inaugural AFL season, the Chargers faced the Houston Oilers in the league championship, losing 24-16. Now, 65 years later, they return to Houston for a Wild Card matchup against the Texans.

On the other hand, DeMeco Ryans has been leading the Texans since last year – a season which saw the Texans win their first playoff win since 2019. He has emulated the same fate in the regular season, taking the Houston side to playoffs once again. He would hope they could go further than their last year record.

The Houston Texans defense are a solid team that has posed a huge challenge to the opposing teams.
