Adam Fox is an American professional ice hockey player for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. He plays the position of defenceman for the team. In the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Adam was selected the 66th overall by the Calgary Flames. As NHL’s best defenceman Adam won the James Norris Memorial Trophy. He participated in the U.S National Team Development Program for two seasons and ended with a record for most assists in a single season and for more assists in his career.

During his college, he played ice hockey for Harvard University and lead NCAA defenceman in assists and points during his freshman season. In June 2018, he got traded to the Carolina Hurricanes and after playing with them for a year, in 2019 he shifted to play with the New York Rangers. He was tied for 2nd among all NHL rookie defensemen in goals and was 3rd in assists and points. He currently has a net worth of $20 million in 2022. During his youth, Adam Fox played with the Long Island Gulls of the Atlantic Youth Hockey League. Later he joined the U.S National Team Development Program in the 2014-16 season. He was named to the 2016 IIHF World U-18 Championships Best Defenceman and to the 2016 U-18 World Hockey Championships Media All-Star Team. He was drafted by the Calgary Flames the 66th overall in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

In the 2016-17 season, he played college hockey with the Harvard Crimson men’s ice hockey team. Adam Fox was named the 2017 ECAC Rookie of the Year and Ivy League Rookie of the Year after his freshman year. In his sophomore year, he scored 28 points, 6 goals, and 22 assists in 29 games. Before leaving Harvard he recorded 116 points in 97 games while becoming the 4th defenceman in Harvard history to reach 100 career points.

His professional journey started when he joined the Carolina Hurricanes, but on 30th April 2019, he was once again traded to the New York Rangers as a 2nd round pick in the 2019 NHL Draft. Adam finished the 2019-20 season with 42 points in 8 goals and 34 assists in a total of 70 games. He was first in rank among Rangers defensemen. He was also recorded as the 4th defenceman in Rangers history to record an 11-game point streak with an 8-4 win against the Pittsburg Pirates. He won the James Norris Memorial Trophy for the 2020-21 NHL season. And in January 2022, Adam was chosen for his first NHL All-Star Game.
