Ex-NHL player Alex Galchenyuk’s arrest video stuns the social media world once again. The former player was caught during a hit-and-run case in Scottsdale where he allegedly behaved rudely to the police officers. In the recently released video, it was noted that the former Coyotes player was throwing ‘F’ bombs at the police officers.
Furthermore, he used the N-word to address a black police officer seated in the front seat. The officer was heard saying not to use such language towards him, but Galchenyuk was far from patient to listen to his advice. The video is of July’s arrest, and it shows Galchenyuk being escorted by the police in their van.
He was seated in the back seat where the body cam captured his behavior and words towards the police officers. It was also reported that at first they tried to calmly speak to Galchenyuk but the young man seemed to be too intoxicated for any hearing.
“I’m gonna chop you, your wife, your daughter. One phone call and you’re all dead, your whole family, your bloodline is dead…I’ll f***ing chop all of you f***s.”

While cuffed up in the back seat, Alex Galchenyuk continued his slurred ramblings. He boldly stated that he “paid my f***ing taxes for 12 years in the highest tax bracket.” He repeatedly threatened police officers and even used racial slurs towards them.
One of the video footage, recorded him using the N-word toward a black officer. He said, “Turn right there, n***. Hey n***, turn there.” His behavior not only stunned the fans, and NHL but also his parents.
According to Hockey Feed, Galchenyuk’s father who was present on the scene was shocked by his son’s behavior. At first the police only wanted to interrogate him for the hit-and-run case, as he was caught on the passenger seat. But his behavior changed the outcome.
Furthermore, the police registered him as “impaired” following his conduct. He was arrested on charges of private property hit-and-run, threatening and intimidating the police, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Following his drunken antics, he later issued an apology on X.
He said sorry to show such a side of himself to his fans, organization, and family and promised he’d redeem himself to avoid future mishaps. He pleaded guilty to threatening and using slurs against police officers and served 2-days jail time.
He was fined $563,000 and entered an alcohol treatment program. The Coyotes released him from his contract which indicated the end of his NHL career. The details from the recent body cam footage changed the fan’s perspective of the player greatly. It is to be seen what path the young former NHLer decides to take in the future.
