Forward and captain of the Washington Capitals Alex Ovechkin will be having his gamer skills tested, today, as he takes part in a Russian eSports Tournament. He will be concentrating on his control of the joysticks during his NHL 22 play on PlayStation 5.
The tournament is going to be held in Moscow at the Festival Square of the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, hosted by the department of Sports in Moscow, the International Hockey Academy, and the Moscow Computer Sports Federation.

They further announced that there will be a $1 million ruble prize pool money. The participants will get divided into 3 slots – pro, semi-pro, and amateur. Till now, Ovechkin’s slot has not been revealed. Though he takes his gaming seriously, he lost to Wayne Gretzky during the pandemic in NHL 20.
