Avs television analyst Mark Rycroft became a hot topic overnight after a video of him accidentally taking a sip from his partner’s tobacco spit cup became viral on Thursday.

What a way to start Christmas for Colorado Avalanche television analyst Mark Rycroft! While everyone is busy preparing to welcome Santa with celebrations and drinks, Rycroft undergoes a severe nightmare on set. During broadcasting, the analyst accidentally took a sip of tobacco spit from his partner Marc Moser’s cup while live on air.

The ordeal of his horrifying nightmare went viral with 1+ million views on X after fellow broadcaster Vic Lombardi released the video on social media. Some fans related to the situation while others commended Rycroft’s resilience to not react wildly and maintain his composure.

Broadcasters often keep tea or drinks beside them to keep them in good condition, but this ordeal surely must’ve taken a few years of Mark Rycroft’s life. In the video, it is evident that he took a big nice gulp from the cup before taking a second to spit it back out. While Marc Moser struggled to hold back his laughter, Rycroft kept gargling his mouth with ‘actual’ drinks back and forth.

The cup he drank from ended up being his tobacco spit remains. Unfortunately, Rycroft became its victim. Lombardi commented on X that the “video has been under lock and key for several weeks,” but now “it’s time” to unleash it.

Fans react to Mark Rycroft taking a sip of Marc Moser’s tobacco spit on live air

Fans are absolutely enjoying the wreck Mark Rycroft went through during the Avalanche broadcasting event. Not only did Rycroft take a sip from Marc Moser’s tobacco spit cup, but the video also showed Moser wiping his cup with a napkin after Rycroft’s ordeal.

Despite the bewilderment, both broadcasters proved why they are pros in their field. They kept on commenting without much reaction from either side. One fan described the ordeal on X, “Absolute pure f***ing gold” while another commented, “One of the most disgusting things I’ve ever seen ?.”

Now that’s the start of Christmas nobody wishes to have! Some fans seemed to relate to his situation, but nevertheless, it is “disgusting”. It’s been a hell of a ride for the Avs this season, both for 2023-24 regular season games and for on-off-screen incidents. Currently, the team is tied for 1st in the Central Division with 42 points.
