As the drama in the National Hockey League (NHL) continues, there seems to be some serious trouble brewing for Bill Guerin. The Minnesota Wild general manager is currently finding himself in hot waters after allegations of verbal abuse at the workplace surfaced. The Wild executive’s official is now under investigation for this matter

As per reports from The Athletic, an employee raised a complaint against Geurin through human resources. This alleged incident is reported to have taken place last month. A complaint was filed in late November which was commissioned by an outside firm. Two attorneys would later travel to the office and probe at least 15 members of the Wild’s organization.

The reports further stated that the person who raised this complaint was Andrew Heydt, the public relations official of the team. Following this he has been absent from work in recent days and also missed the team’s latest trip.

This also comes at a time when the team announced that they had mutually agreed to part ways with Assistant GM Chris O’Hearn. As things stand, the team is likely in for a wild ride in the upcoming days as the probe gets underway.

In the statement, the club claimed that they take this allegation seriously and have concluded two separate investigations of their own. They also said that will not be making any more comments regarding this.

The Minnesota Wild takes its code of conduct seriously. We recently concluded two separate investigations into alleged violations of that code of conduct, and have taken appropriate steps to address the matters raised to our attention. The club will not comment any further.

Speaking of the team, the Wild picked up an important win through a shootout victory over fellow strugglers Calgary Flames. They currently sit at 7th in their division table with an 11-12-4 record. They would be hoping these off-field issues do not distract from their gameplay on the ice.
