New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson once again reminded the sports world that the NHL possesses some of the tough guys out there. Usually, a person will feel pain even after dentists use painkillers to pull out a tooth, but looking at Nelson some might just change their view.
After taking a hit to the face from William Nylander, Nelson quickly skated back to the bench only to peacefully perform his tooth surgery. He casually pulls out his tooth, and the video clip surely left some fans with pain just watching it.
Nevertheless, Nelson couldn’t care more about it. The New York Islanders fell to the Toronto Maple Leafs 5-2 with a score of 23-21-5 on Monday night. While the Leafs carry on a score of 29-11-8 into the 2022-23 season.

Following the hit from William Nylander, Brock Nelson found his tooth to be loose. Consulting a dentist may have taken some time, as the forward went forward and pulled out the loose friend from the equation. Nelson, currently 31 years old, carries a score of 42 points with 17 goals and 25 assists in 49 games.
Apart from his 2022-23 season record, he has a total record of 429 points with 222 goals and 207 assists in 725 games. Following his 2010 round 1 NHL Draft, he signed a 6-year $36 million contract with the Islanders in 2019.
His contract included a $2 million signing bonus with a $6 million annual average salary. On Monday night’s game, Nylander absolutely smoked the Islanders. He is currently being considered the biggest snub for the upcoming All-Star Game.
Mitchell Marner and Auston Matthews will be participating in the event, as Nylander states, “Look, we got two great guys that made the team. So, I mean, I’m not too worried about it. Obviously, it would be fun, but they’re incredible players so I’m just happy to see them go”.
