“I’m all red” – Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau gets surprise visit from WWE superstar Kevin Owens at 2022 NHL Draft

Vancouver Canucks coach Bruce Boudreau shakes hands with his favorite wrestler, WWE superstar Kevin Owens at the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft. It won’t be an exaggeration to say, that Bruce was stunned and froze for a few seconds. The WWE party crasher happens to be Owens’ all-time favorite wrestler.

It was during the second round of the 2022 National Hockey League Draft when Owens crept up from behind to surprise Bruce with his presence. Bruce a long-time fan, had to take a few more minutes to look at what was going on till he gained his composure.

Kevin Owens surprised Bruce Boudreau at the NHL meet

Bruce Boudreau laughed near the beginning of the 5-minute segment on the NHL Network, when he finally said, “I’m all red”. When word got out that Owens was Bruce’s favorite, Kevin Owens commented, “Thanks for the kind words”. Bruce’s situation was quite common, as anyone would have been flustered to get a surprise visit from their favorite person.

The veteran coach immediately prepped Owens with questions about what he was up to, as said on nhl.com. Bruce told him that he would advocate for him to get a chance at the WWE title, “If you don’t get the title shot you deserve I’m right there for you”. “I want to be the new Lou Albano (the legendary former manager) to you.” And as one can guess he was hired. Owens commented, “Hey man, you’re hired immediately”. “No doubt.”
