Colorado Avalanche had an amazing run-up to their victorious Stanley Cup campaign. They dethroned the Tampa Bay Lightning in an eye-catching game in June. To commemorate their championship campaign the players, coaching staff, and ownership received their mind-boggling rings.
Let’s talk about the ring for a moment. A total of 669 diamonds, 18 blue sapphires (customized), and 42 sparkling rubies. Weighing in around 18.5 carats, the gemstone is definitely a piece of art and has the capability to make any onlooker jealous.
Present at a private ceremony for the celebration, coach Jared Bednar quotes – “The Stanley Cup was [at the ceremony] with the guys from the Hall of Fame and our ownership group.”

Colorado Avalanche has gems – literally and figuratively
“It’s heavier than I thought it would be,” frontline player J.T. Compher states. “I went in with no expectations, and it is awesome.” More of a celebrated symbol, coach Bednar, Makar, and Compher are definitely not planning on wearing the ring regularly.
“I think there was a lot of emotion in the room. They’ll never take it away from us. That’s our last little bit of celebration. You get your ring that you get to keep forever and now we have to move on, but it was a fun night” – Bednar says quite ecstatically before turning his focus to the present.
The Colorado Avalanche are all set to start their 2022-23 NHL title defense against the Chicago Blackhawks in Denver on Wednesday. The Ball Arena rink will be full of fans and spectators to see the defending champions ply their trade and try for a consecutive Stanley Cup win,
