Is there trouble in paradise? Connor McDavid and his fiancee Lauren Kyle have been in a relationship for a very long time. Recently the duo even celebrated their engagement in a bombastic manner. Unfortunately, there was a time when their relationship was threatened by a couple of photos, questioning McDavid’s loyalty.
The duo is quite popular with the public, mostly due to McDavid being in the NHL spotlight. ‘The Chosen One’ established himself as a phenomenal player following his debut in the league. He became the captain of the Edmonton Oilers on October 5, 2016. He was named the youngest to get crowned as the leader of a team in the NHL.
While basking in NHL glee, McDavid was caught on camera allegedly cheating on his girlfriend Lauren Kyle with an unknown girl on the street. The incident happened after the Colorado Avalanche swept the Edmonton Oilers in the 2022 Stanley Cup Championship.

Apparently, Connor McDavid was allegedly in a drunken state crossing roads with a brunette girl. The photos and tweets on social media went viral in seconds, as fans started putting puzzle pieces together. Although they were all waiting for his girlfriend Lauren Kyle to respond to the allegation, there was no noise from her side.
Some tweets commented that the incident was actually from 2017, but there is no evidence as of now. All the tweets related to the incident were successfully buried underneath with no pictures available online as of now. Even with that being said, fans are aware of the incident, and will not be forgotten anytime soon.
The whole issue blew up in 2022, but thanks to Lauren Kyle’s Instagram posts, things died out soon. The duo posted images of them vacationing in exotic places, captioning “Summer feeling”. Their relationship has been smooth sailing since then.
The couple also celebrated their engagement with their adorable dog Leonard on June 22, 2023. Kyle wrote in her caption that it was “the best day of my life”. After eight years of being together, the duo is finally ready to enjoy their pre-wedding period. Now with their engagement over, fans are expecting to hear their wedding news sometime soon.
Kyle further noted that she “knew you (Connor McDavid) were my person from the day we met”. Several teammates and players congratulated McDavid starting from Leon Draisaitl to Patrick Maroon, Tyson Barrie, and many more. The love story that started in 2016 with a wrong bump ended up beautifully in a fairy tail devised story.
The duo has been sharing a luxurious three-story mansion in Edmonton for quite a time. But after their engagement things will surely feel more special for them. It was McDavid’s girlfriend Lauren Kyle who designed their home sometime back in 2021.
Kyle, the interior designer is the owner of Kyle and Co. Design Studio. She is also working on the publication of her recipe The Atelier Table. They both are pursuing their own dreams as they continue to live together. Hopefully, no future cheating allegations come up to shake the duo’s peaceful relationship.
