The NHL world has seen a lot of amazing moments from Connor McDavid. The Edmonton Oilers captain has stunned the fans with his special skills on various occasions. He has now once again stole the show as he scored an incredible goal against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night.

The Oilers have not started the season well and were trashed 8-1 in their opening game. He would later criticize the actions of Vancouver Canucks coach Rick Torcchet. They have now moved on from this game and would thrash the Predators 6-1. However, the match is now being talked about for the iconic goal scored by McDavid.

The incident occurred in the first period of the game when the Oilers were in cruise control of the game. With the score at 3-0 in their favor, he did something that perhaps only he could have done.

The 26-year-old forward would stumble while turning away from the defenders. Despite falling down, he did not stop and continued to spin and skate forward. This spinning action was met with a powerful shot from him that made it 4-0. The NHL official account on X would share the video of it while being amused themselves.

Leon Draisaitl shines in Oilers first win of 2023-24 season

After enduring a tough loss and elimination at the hands of eventual champions, the Vegas Golden Knights last season, the Edmonton Oilers hoped to go one better. However, their high ambitions took a massive hit when they were trashed 8-1 in the opening game. They would follow this up with another loss at the hands of the Canucks. So they entered this game, knowing a win was very important for them.

Connor McDavid along with his forward partner Leon Draisaitl showed up. Both stars combined together to help their team claim a huge 6-1 win. While McDavid registered an assist and an incredible goal, his partner notched up two goals and two assists.

With this performance, Draisaitl improved his impressive record against the Predators even further. The forward now has 24 goals and 15 assists in his 24 career games against the Nashville-based outfit. After the game, he claimed that this drags for a few more games.

“Sometimes it works better against certain teams than other teams… Hopefully, I can drag it out a couple more games,” Draisaitl said before adding that this run will eventually come to an end.

The Oilers would be hoping to use the momentum of this game and deal another major blow to their next opposition – the Philadelphia Flyers. Meanwhile, the Predators would be hoping to move from this defeat when they face the New York Rangers next.
