“Longer than I thought” – Flyers center Sean Couturier ready to skate in upcoming 2022-23 NHL season
Sean Couturier
Sean Couturier is believed to be an integral part of the Flyers for the upcoming season and the recent training camp. He was one of the most needed players after the Flyers entered a crucial transitional period. Recently, he talked about his back aches followed that he initially considered wear and tear, but ended up in surgery
Sean Couturier is not cleared of all his setbacks and is thrilled to resume his practice. He mentions his brief journey through this period, which was filled with utmost patience and really long wait. He just returned two weeks ago and says that he obviously didn’t expect it to be this difficult off the fields. He will be seen skating in the upcoming 2022-2023 NHL season once again.
The fans have mixed emotions when it comes to hockey this year. Some are delighted to have Sean back and yet others mention that they might just skip this season after a long wait.

Sean Couturier’s setback and a period of twiddling thumbs
Sean Couturier considers summer is the most favorable for his intense training sessions. He mentioned that he is used to pushing intensity in summer. Not only this, the time he had to spend away from the game due to his setbacks made him feel frustrated since he could not join the fields during his prime.
He hopes to move on from this and have some intense games out there. He talks about his pain and grief and we can almost feel the agony he must have suffered. “Going back to December when it happened, I don’t know, I think it was just a little bit of a wear and tear,” he said.
“You know Coots, he’s supposed to be out there maybe just doing a few flow drills and next thing you know, he bites off a little bit more, he wants to kill penalties and play as a defenseman,” Flyers interim head coach Mike Yeo mentioned in the past. We are happy to see him go again for alleviating the painful wait that the fans went through. He had their sympathies and wishes.
“It’s a tough sport out there and we can get hit, it can happen again, just don’t know. But I feel pretty confident that I’ll be back to 100 percent, so there’s no extra worries I guess,” said Sean. We hope as fans that he has no more set back in the future and continues to perform better.
He is integral to the Flyers and a treat to the welcoming fans in the upcoming NHL season for sure. We all wish for his great health and hope to see him put up a tough fight at this one.
