NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman DROPS bold claim regarding suspended players facing sexual assault charges
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman has claimed that it was not 'necessary' to suspend the players who are alleged to be involved in the 2018 World Junior Hockey sexual assault scandal.

In the past few days, the sport of NHL has been trending over social media. However, the reason for this has not been a happy one as four NHLers were charged for sexual assault in a 2018 case. Commissioner Gary Bettman has now dropped a huge claim regarding this matter.
This past Monday, former Ottawa Senators star Alex Formenton turned himself in to the Ontario police. This led to a widespread of reactions from the fans who condemned him. A few days, four more players allegedly involved in the surrendered before the police.
The NHL Commissioner recently held a press conference. During this, he was asked about this ongoing matter. While speaking to the media, the 71-year-old claimed it was not ‘necessary‘ for the league to suspend the players.

Gary Bettman announces NHL’s return to Winter Olympics 2026 and 2030
A major development from Gary Bettman’s recent press conference was the return of NHL to Winter Olympics. As per Bettman, the league has agreed upon an agreement IOC and the International Ice Hockey Federation. The players will now be returning to this big sporting stage in more than a decade. The NHL was last represented at Sochi, Russia in 2014.
Ice hockey will now return to the Winter Games in 2026 in Milan, Italy. This could see some dream team ups between stars including the highly anticipated mix up of Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby.

Apart from this, ice hockey action on International stage would see a “4 Nations Face-Off“, an international competition involving Team USA, Canada, Finland and Sweden. This event will take place in four cities of each country and consist of seven matches during the year 2025.
This could be called a Hockey World Cup. The last time, a Hockey World Cup was held was in 2016 when a young McDavid was part of the Team North America along with Nathan MacKinnon, Jack Eichel and Auston Matthews.
This stars will now be hoping to team up with some upcoming talents from the NHL world. The only question now remains to be answered is, who will come out on top in this huge clash of hockey titans.
