Just a day after Kirby Dach’s $13.45 million contract sign, the Montreal Canadiens have re-signed their goalie Cayden Primeau to a $2.67 million deal for 3 years.
After finally coming to terms and going through the paperwork the team broke down Cayden’s pay for three years as $770,000 for the 2022-23 season, $800,000 in the 2023-24 season, and $1,100,000 in the 2024-25 season. A total AAV of $890,000K.
Cayden Primeau will be getting more ice-time in 2022-23
After a not-so-good season, Cayden will finally be able to prove his worth once again on the NHL ice competing behind Jake Allen and Samuel Montembeault. Carey Price as expected will not be part of this season or even the next.
Last season the 23-year-old recorded 1-7-1 in 12 games with the team, posting a record of 4.62 goals-against-average, and a .868 save percentage. Apart from the 18 games played in his NHL career, he was also a part of the AHL where he scored16-12-3 for Laval Rocket.
