Stanley Cup playoff stress is always way off the charts compared to the regular season. Often players that have played mediocre in the regular season may pop off during Cup contention. Unfortunately, it seems, NY Rangers do not fall in that category.
After the Rangers’ humiliating 0-4 annihilation by NY Devils, Rangers star goalie Igor Shesterkin blasted off his own teammates ruthlessly. One cannot blame Shesterkin for his behavior while his attitude may have ticked off some of the loyal fans.
During the break in 2nd period of Game 2 at Prudential Arena, Shesterkin skated off to his bench only to shout at his teammates, hoping to knock some sense in them. The goalie screamed, “Wake the f**k up”, or according to some amateur lip readers, he seemed t have spouted, “Better f***ing do your jobs”.

Whatever he may have screamed at, this is surely going to hurt his teammates and the loyal Rangers fan base. The Rangers were leading the charts during Games 1 and 2, until the Devils flipped the game over, winning three consecutive in a row.
With the Minnesota Wild out of playoff contention, the Rangers may be the 2nd to join them. They’ll face off once again in Game 6 which’ll undoubtedly be crucial to either of the teams. The Pittsburg Penguins and Washington Capitals are already out of the playoff picture even before the Cup race began.
Fans are screaming following the results of the 1st-round playoff series so far. It’s an adrenaline-rushed game, and according to reports, the Rangers failed to push through adversity. Rangers alternate captain, Mika Zibanejad and Chris Kreider had a goal in 2 straight games.
Unfortunately, Patrick Kane and Vladimir Tarasenko failed to produce results matching their previous record. They’ve only produced shadows of their once stardom in the series so far. Goalie Igor Shesterkin finished Game 5 with 36 saves according to The Hockey Beast.
Shesterkin’s words failed to pump up the Rangers as they head to deciding Game 6. During the game, two players dropped the gloves causing a huge uproar on the ice. Rangers Barclay Goodrow and Devils Kevin Bahl exchanged punches midway through 2nd period.
