Sharks and the Predators station themselves for their ‘International start’ as NHL goes global

Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks are all set for their opening game here at the O2 Arena in Prague. Although there’s a twist to this, the pre-season games for both these teams are off the table. These games will count as the regular games for the 2022-23 NHL Season.
Both of these games respectively for the Predators and the Sharks will amount to more than two points. Both the teams opened up their practice sessions to fans and the general public, giving them the entertainment and the feel of the NHL. The Czechs really seemed into the whole ‘Ice-hockey’ thing.

Tomas Hertl to steal the show for San Jose Sharks
“We were all those kids at some point, and it’s just cool with our platforms to inspire and encourage and just kind of make their days and show them that their dreams, if they want to play in the NHL, they can reach them” – Johansen said as looked all geared up for the Predators opening game at the weekend.
Prague’s local hero Tomas Hertl is in the spotlight as fans in numbers came to see him. A young fan in the audience was quite energized on seeing Hertl practice in the rink.
Capitalizing on their chance to see Hertl in person after following him from afar, the Czechs’ didn’t want to miss a single glimpse of him. Playing for San Jose, Hertl has risen to prominence, courtesy of his goal-scoring exploits.
The Predators who don’t have local talent in their lineup as of now found support for their forward Nino Niederreiter, who was born and brought up in Berns, Switzerland. Both of these teams will look to build up momentum and take advantage of the emotional support from the Czech crowd who are very much looking forward to getting the full experience of an NHL game.
