The New Jersey Devils avoided an arbitration hearing with Jesper Bratt penning a 1-year $5.45 million contract. Another one of the summer’s arbitration cases has been settled. Before scheduling for the arbitration, Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald announced about the singing on Wednesday.
By the upcoming season, he will be free from his 1-year deal and once again fall into the restricted free zone category with arbitration rights. Though he is stamped as a Devil for one more year, rumors have started circulating about his near future after this season.

Forward Jesper Bratt will play this season with the New Jersey Devils
The 23-year-old forward has set a career-high of 26 goals, 47 assists, 197 shots, 18 power-play points, 17:26 ice time, and 73 points, as noted on thehockeynews.com. Except for his goals that tied with Jack Hughes for the team lead, he ranked first for all the others.
He led the team with 6 game-winning goals which were considered his career-high. Furthermore, in 307 contests, Bratt recorded 70 goals and 133 assists after getting drafted in 2016. In a single season, he became the first Devil since Taylor Hall in 2017-18 to record 70 or more approximately. He’s a dynamic player, one to look out for this season among the Devils.
