The former ice hockey player, Johnny Gaudreau was considered by many as one of the top players of this generation. The 31-year-old came into the limelight after his drafted in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, and within a few years of his debut became a fan favorite in the league.
Not only did Johnny Gaudreau tackle all his NHL plays with perfect excellence, but he also won several awards and titles for his performance. He won the Hobey Baker Award for being the best player in the NCAA in 2014. Unfortunately, the star passed away along with his brother Matthew in a recent road accident.
Johnny and Matthew were on their bikes when an alleged drunk driver ran into them in southern New Jersey. They were pronounced dead at the scene. The heartbreaking incident took place a day before their sister Katie’s wedding to hockey player Devin Joyce.
Both of their deaths left behind their family, friends, team, and fans alone, who are unable to get away from this tragic news. Johnny Gaudreau got married to his long-time girlfriend Meredith Morris in September 2021. Though his fans are very much interested in Gaudreau’s love life, little is known about it.
