There’s no need to ramble about how much Justin Bieber is connected to the NHL world, especially with Toronto Maple Leafs’ alternate captain Auston Matthews. Matthews and Bieber are best friends and have been spotted together many times.

Back in March 2022, he shouted in Montreal chanting Leafs’ praise which in turn earned him boos from the crowd. Unfortunately, this year he wasn’t able to participate in the 2023 NHL Honda All-Star week competitions and has said sorry for it on social media platforms.

This news has undoubtedly brought smiles to fans’ faces, but Justin Beiber’s excitement was on whole another level. The pop singer stated, “What’s up NHL fans, Justin Bieber here. I’m not going to be able to make it to this year’s All-Star game, but next year we are going to be hosting it in Toronto. So, I can’t wait to see you guys there”.

Back in 2017 when Beiber participated in the NHL All-Star Celebrity Shootout, HOF Chris Pronger body-checked Beiber to the glass wall, refusing to let him go. The 1.98 m. defenceman refused to let the star go as he kept on smiling. It was his way of getting the pop star a taste of the NHL.

For 2024, Beiber has kept his surprises hidden as he says, “A lot of surprises in store”. Toronto Maple Leafs’ winger Mitch Marner also stated that he better be wearing winter clothes for the 2024 Toronto festivity as it’s getting cold there.

“Going to be a little colder than here”. “It’s gonna be fun,” Marner stated. Leafs’ president Brendan Shahanan said, “We’re really excited to welcome hockey fans from all around the world, and the best players”. “We love our hockey and we love to celebrate the game.”

Shahanan who played the All-Star game in 2000 held in Toronto said he remembers the excitement in the crowd and loves that 2024 will be another occasion for him to relish that moment, “I remember the excitement and the buzz in the city.”

Any time that you’re in Toronto for a hockey game — especially something like the all-star game — you can feel the excitement.” Marner further said, “The city’s gonna be loving this”.

“We’re gonna be getting all the best players in the world in the same place at one time. Just seeing how the NBA all-star game was, I’m sure the NHL one’s gonna be even bigger. Fans are gonna love it.”
