The hilarious prank war between Marc-Andre Fleury and Brandon Duhaime has now seen the veteran goalie practising with a cane.

When it comes to playing pranks with someone in the league, there are arguably very few who can match Marc-Andre Fleury. The veteran goaltender has been known for his ‘prank wars‘ and once again gave an example of it when he used a cane during a recent practice session.

This hilarious move comes after his teammate Brandon Duhaime took a jab at him. The forward star jokingly claimed it was impressive to see Fleury perform at the high age of 50.

In an interview during the intermission of their game against the Boston Bruins, Duhaime said:

It’s unbelievable [to watch Fleury compete]. I mean for him to do this at 50, it’s special and he’s awesome. He’s a great teammate, a great player and you see what he’s doing out there at 50.

Fleury who is currently 39, decided to join in on the act and make it a prank war. While he did get back at Duhaime, he went along with his teammates’ comments and acted as if he was 50 years old. Instead of a hockey stick, the future Hall of Famer was seen practicing with a cane, indicating old age. Check out the video of that incident shared on X below:

Marc-Andre Fleury gets one back on Brandon Duhaime after forward calls him old

If Minnesota Wild forward Brandon Duhaime thought he had gotten away with his comments on Marc-Andre Fleury, he was under the wrong impression. The veteran goalie who is known for playing such pranks, was not going just to let it slide by him.

Duhaime learned the hard way that it was not wise to mess with Fleury. The two-time Stanley Cup winner with the Pittsburgh Penguins got one back on Duhaime after he stole his teammate’s clothes.

The incident is reported to have taken place on Thursday when the Wild took on the Montreal Canadiens at the Xcel Energy Center. Duhaime appeared in the arena with clean clothes but later left the scene shirtless with just his jacket on.

The war did not stop there as a week later Duhaime was seen leaving the arena with a pair of furry boots. When asked about his involvement, the veteran cheekily denied taking part in it but did claim that the forward had a nice wardrobe.

This hilarious development comes after the team currently finds themselves in a difficult spot. Following their poor start of the season, the team relieved coach Dean Evason of his duties.

Things got worse when their General Manager Bill Guerin found himself under the spotlight following allegations of verbal abuse at the workplace. This prank war between Fleury and Duhaime brings some sort of relief to the organization as they look forward to a huge 2024 year.
