His pranks began even before Fleury won the Stanley Cup with the Penguins in 2008-09, 2015-16, and in the 2016-17 season. The NHL regular season is around the corner, and for Fluery, his prank season continues all throughout the year.

During the recent Media Day, the goalie took full advantage of Crosby’s absence and tapped all of his equipment in the locker room. But apparently, he wasn’t just satisfied with his accomplishment.

He went further to hide a glass of water under Crosby’s helmet and placed it on the top shelf. When Crosby questioned him, he innocently stated, “It wasn’t me though. I got here and it was like that.”

But who’s going to believe the prankster? In the past, Crosby also took his revenge whenever he got a shot at him. One of the iconic examples would be when the Penguins’ captain gummed Fleury’s gears last year.

So this tapping incident can be seen as an answer to stick gum in Fleury’s equipment. He further mentioned that he used seven tapes to torture Crosby this time. Crosby laughingly said, “He’s got a lot of experience doing this.” “There’ll be retaliation, don’t worry”.
