Mark Scheifele is a professional ice hockey center and the alternate captain for the Winnipeg Jets of the National Hockey League. He was chosen by the Jets the 7th overall in the first round of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. He played with the Kitchener Jr. Rangers program in the Alliance Pavillion League. He was later drafted by OHL’s Saginaw Spirit in the 7th round of the 2009 Ontario Hockey League Priority Section. He moved to the Barrie Colts and was later drafted by the Jets.
