Mika Zibanejad is a professional ice hockey center and the alternate captain for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. The Swedish professional ice hockey player represented Sweden in the World Ice Hockey Championships, and also in the World Ice Hockey Junior Championship in the U-20. In the 2011 National Hockey League Entry Draft Mika was selected the 6th overall by the Ottawa Senators.

Before his career with the Ottawa Senators, he played with the AIK IF Youth Organization and Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. On July 13, 2011, Mika Zibanejad signed an entry-level contract with the Ottawa Senators after his 2011 NHL Drafting. He registered his first NHL assist on a goal point against Detroit Red Wings in a 5-3 loss. On 29th January against the Washington Capitals he was chosen as the first star, and on the following night, he scored his first NHL goal against the Montreal Canadians.
At the end of the 2015-16 season, Mika scored a career-high of 21 goals with 30 assists. On 18th July 2016, he got traded to the Rangers in exchange for Derick Brassard.
