On Tuesday Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic walked out of the court while pleading not guilty. He was arrested on the charge of domestic violence allegation filed by her wife on Saturday.

The 35-year-old veteran was reported to be under the influence. His wife would call the police after he tried to “choke” her. Since then he was taken into custody with a case of assault and battery filed against him.

He has now pleaded not guilty to a court in Boston on personal recognizance bail. He has been asked to return to the court on 19th January 2024. Following the incident, he was placed on “indefinite leave” by the Bruins player.

His teammate Brad Marchand would later inform the media that were aware of the incident and claimed to be concerned and upset about it. With him out of action due to an injury, this new development has now raised questions regarding the future of the club. Some reports claim that his career with the Bruins could be in jeopardy.

Milan Lucic enters NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance Program

This incident that took place with Milan Lucic brought out a huge shock to the fans. A fan favorite in Boston, the fanbase was stunned to see one of their top stars commit such an action. With him on “indefinite leave“, the 35-year-old has now entered the NHL/NHLPA assistance program.

This program is developed to help players and their families deal with abuse of all kinds and support them in these times. Lucic has now decided to enter this assistance program as he tries to overcome the situation while the case goes on.

The Boston Bruins have been in communication with the Lucic family, offering our support and assistance. The organization is supportive of Milan’s decision to enter the NHL/NHLPA Player Assistance program,” Boston Bruins’ informing about the decision through The Boston Globe.

The team has now informed that they will not be commenting further on this case. The Bruins who signed him on a one-year contract and brought him back to the city, will have to perform without his services for the season.

In the four games he played this season, Lucic recorded two assists without any goals. He had been contemplating the decision to retire before joining the Bruins. This action from him could put an ugly end to his glorious career over the years.
