In the huge realm of the sporting world, there are several players who try and become professionals. In their quest for glory, players usually start training from a young age and take guidance from their local coaches. But what if the coaches get harsh and physical? In one shocking incident, a minor league coach is now getting sued for his alleged actions during a practice round.

Teachers and coaches are expected to be strict. However, there have been several stories in the past where coaches have crossed the line. This seems to be the case here as well as the coach has been sued for physically battering and threatening a minor.

According to reports from TSN’s Rick Westhead, this incident is supposed to have taken place in the London area, Ontario. The parents of the child have filed complaints of misconduct against the unnamed coach. They have also sued him for $2 million compensation for the damages suffered to their kid by the actions of this coach.

What further allegations did the parents put up against this coach?

Ever since this news broke, several hockey fans have been stunned by it. The news of a coach losing control and attacking a player of their own is never good. In this shocking incident from Ontario, the parents of the child have also accused him (coach) of unfair treatment of their child.

As per the report from Rick Westhead, the coach openly assaulted the player in front of others and in the dressing room. The parents also claimed that their child was demoted to a “lower level” and classified as a “weak” player. Following this, the coach also hit back at the parents and accused the father of being a public danger to him.

The father alleges the coach assaulted him in a dressing room. In front of others, the coach allegedly accused the father of being a public danger who had engaged “in obscene and/or despicable behavior.”

Another interesting claim from the parents is that the parents of other players who supported the coach and did not complain against him were rewarded. Whether this claim is true or not remains to be seen though.

The local hockey association has now retained an investigator for the matter and did not refer this case to the police. What actions will be taken against if any against the coach now remains to be seen. However, this case has once again reminded everyone to speak up against abuse at the workplace.
