“Accepted qualifying offer” – NHL center Pierre-Luc Dubois pens down 1-year $6 million contract with Jets

Forward center Pierre-Luc Dubois penned down a 1-year $6 million contract with the Winnipeg Jets on Friday. He has 90 points with 28 goals and 32 assists in 81 games for the Jets during the last season. He became a restricted free agent on July 13th. 

He was drafted during the 2016 NHL Draft by the Blue Jackets. Dubois has participated in 361 regular-season games for the Jets and Blue Jackets and racked up 239 points with 102 goals and 137 assists. As for the playoffs, he scored 22 points with 8 goals and 14 assists in 33 Stanley Cup games.

Pierre-Luc Dubois signs with Winnipeg Jets

Pierre-Luc Dubois was traded to the Winnipeg Jets on 23rd January 2021 by the Columbus Blue Jackets for forwards Patrick Laine and Jack Roslovic. With the Blue Jackets, he played 3 seasons before getting traded, as reported on nhl.com.

Internationally he was part of the 2019 IIHF World Championship and 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. He joined Team Canada for the 2022 IIHF World Championship and was recognized as of the best team players. Though the team lost in the championship, Dubois won his 2nd World silver with 7 goals and 6 assists in the tournament.
