Edmonton Oilers defenceman Duncan Keith has decided to retire after 17 NHL seasons at the age of 38, as per TSN’s Pierre LeBrun. Keith reminisces about the time he went to the States as a member of the opposing team and played against the Blackhawks, “I’m just super proud to say that I was a Hawk for as long as I was”. “To be drafted by that team and spend that many years here, definitely proud of that and all the great teammates that pushed me to become a better player. Obviously, those three championships stick out for sure.” It is safe to assume that the longtime standout defenceman’s next stop is the Hall of Fame.
