Former NHLer Paul Bissonnette on Sunday found himself in an unwanted situation. During the coverage of the NHL games on TNT, he ended up breaking the set, leaving his co-workers to have a laugh at him.
While discussing a play on the TNT Intermission report, the NHL on TNT crew would have some hockey sticks in their hand and a puck down on the ground. In this segment, “Biz Nasty” would take over and tried to explain a play. Unfortunately for him, things did not turn out the way he would have hoped for.
Instead of finding the back of the net, Bissonnette’s puck ended up missing the goal and hitting the stage behind the net. A panel would break down and fall on the set leaving the other crew members pointing out that. Biz Nasty though tried his best to overlook it and said, “Let’s not focus on the negative“.
The crew would later walk in front of the goal in an attempt to hide the spot. Bissonnette later left the segment after what had happened and urged the crew to continue. Anson Carter and Liam McHugh would take over and throw a joke on him saying “he’s playing for free now“.
Paul Bissonnette questions Golden Knights’ usage of LTIR
While Paul Bissonnette might have ended up breaking the stage of NHL on TNT and becoming a laughing topic, he also raised some strong questions regarding the Vegas Golden Knights‘ usage of long-term injured reserve (LTIR). This came after the Knights’ announced that captain Mark Stone will miss the remainder of the regular season.
The 2023 Stanley Cup champions have been a topic of discussion for their creative usage of this. During the game between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Edmonton Oilers, Biz Nasty would raise this question and got into a heated debate with Anson Carter.
With Stone on the LTIR, the Knights free up salary cap limit. While discussing this Bissonnette asked what do the other teams do if he (Stone) comes back in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
I think the question is, how did they add these guys? The LTIR special. If Stone comes back, game one. What are you saying? If you're another franchise that might have to play these guys.Paul Bissonnette on Golden Knights.
As he continued to make his point, Carter would counter him and claim it was not illegal and within the rules of NHL.
It's not illegal, though, Biz. It's within the rules... No. Listen, Vegas wants to win. They're competing. Do what you have to do within the rules. It's not illegal as far as I'm concerned.Anson Carter replying to Paul Bissonnette.

It now remains to be seen whether Stone will be actually back or not. He will though be a big miss for the Golden Knights moving forward in the latter stages of the season as they aim to defend their crown. If he does come back, there could be more questions on the way from Bissonnette.
