During the Pittsburgh Penguins 7-4 victory in Game 3 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series, the Twitter exploded over a kiss rejection live broadcast clicked at the moment where a Penguins fan tried to initiate a kiss and was brutally rejected by the woman. This live shot made its way to the social media platforms and had a blast other than celebrating the Penguin’s win over the New York Rangers.

The incident took place on Saturday night. Getting turned down by a woman is embarrassing enough as it is, but this happened while being broadcasted live. The poor boy had his toll taken for the remaining time of this year. In the 3rd round after the Pittsburgh Penguins scored their go-ahead goal, the TNT live broadcast of the game cut to a man in attendance at PPG Paints Arena who just got denied a celebratory kiss from the woman next to him.

The man was wearing a Mario Lemieux jersey and was portrayed as yelling in excitement before turning to the woman next to him. The savage rejection from the woman was cleanly broadcasted by the live show, as reported on totalprosports.com. Numerous social media users, especially Twitter users watched the live broadcast and shared the gif of the man’s failed attempt, including former NFL punter Pat McAfee, and also WPXI sports anchor Jenna Harner.

Later there was a surprise happy turn to this unexpected moment. Matt McHugh came forward and accepted that he was the very man in the video in response to a post shared by Barstool Sports verified Twitter account shared a photo of him and the woman exchanging a loving kiss in an empty arena. McHugh quoted, “As the man in this video I have to say that I still very much love her with every fibre of my being #badtiming”.
