“Crosby is backed by the entire city” Pittsburgh Penguins pick out teammates who they STRONGLY-DESIRE

The Pittsburgh Penguins are currently on their high horse as they made an impressive statement win over the Buffaloes with a 7-1 scoreline. The match certainly didn’t have points but after a shaky start to exhibition matches, the win would definitely give the players confidence and boost them for the long season ahead of them.

The Penguins are onto something fun. The squad’s Twitter handle shared a tweet video where players are seen picking a teammate to be stranded with on an island.

A bunch of reasons and logic came out as players justify their pickings. Wouldn’t it be more fun though if this actually became a reality? Some or the other network would definitely pick it up and air it nationwide.

Casey DeSmith definitely has brains as he chooses Sidney Crosby as his companion on the island. Wait till you hear his logic. Taking Crosby’s popularity into consideration DeSmith argues – “Sidney Crosby because the whole city of Pittsburgh would come rescue us.” DeSmith has a point there as the Penguins’ skipper is quite popular in the area.

Kris Letang also goes DeSmith’s way but for a different reason. “He would be great at hunting and feeding me”. Marcus Peterson and Rickard Rakell showed their BFF level as they picked each other out. Their partnership on and off the field seems to have the same level of chemistry. It was Evgeni Malkin who had a different approach. Backing himself and his abilities, Malkin didn’t even flinch choosing himself.

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be looking to build on this momentum. Although, there’s only one thing that will be bothering them – almost a week’s worth of wait. But the Penguins will be feeling pretty confident about the upcoming season on the back of their performance. What actually unfolds for the Pittsburg Penguins in the 2022-23 NHL Season will be seen as the season progresses.
