A 10-year ice hockey youngster made headlines in Russia after launching a violent assault on two officials during a recent game. He hit one official before attacking the other official with his stick. This shocking incident took place at a tournament in the Sverdlovsk in the Urals.
According to the reports, the young goaltender Artemi Akshumov was penalized for tripping around with 5 minutes around the corner of the game at a children’s tournament in Kurganovo, just outside Ekaterinburg. Artemi started hitting the frame of the goal while venting his anger.

Artemi Akshumov’s hotheadedness increased as he suddenly lashed out at an opponent before turning his ire towards the officials. He punched an official while hitting the other officers on the head several times with his stick. His frustration of getting penalized reached a horrifying level which caused this incident to happen.
The officials signalled the end of the game and tried to handle the situation, but till then the camera caught hold of the whole fiasco and it went viral across the Russian internet after being shared on Telegram by a former KHL player Nikita Shchitov. It is predicted that the athlete’s anger-fueled because of his team’s performance by the scoreline at the tournament.

Playing for the second team of Ekaterinburg Youth Sports School No. 19, Artemi Akshumov and his teammates were losing 10-1 in the game. They finished the last place overall in the event suffering 5 defeats and scoring 7 goals while conceding 62. According to insider.com, Artemi racked up47 penalty minutes in total during the tournament.
