The Canadian-American actor Ryan Reynolds is not holding back punches when it comes to the topic of ownership of the Ottawa Senators group. He knows what he’s getting into and has fully armored himself up for the next fight. Going on the battlefield, he is fully supported by NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.
Ryan’s participation as an owner lighted up the corners of social media, as fans and organizations welcomes him to the club. Not only that, Ryan visited a match where he was warmly greeted with a standing ovation by the Senators fans.
It can be well seen how much he has captured the hearts of the fans, since the passing away of the previous owner Eugene Melnyk. Recently he emphasized what he’ll do if he becomes an owner, he’ll become a “frothy, rabies-infused fan the likes of which the NHL has never seen.”

Ryan Reynolds excited for to be part of the Ottawa Senators
Given Ryan’s nature, he will undoubtedly inject the league and the organization with just the perfect dose of excitement and marketing skills. Needless to say, his marketing team is a renowned one and has gained fame over the years.
On Tuesday, Gary Bettman himself stated that he is a Ryan fan. He met with the actor and stated that their meeting was quite pleasant. Gary was impressed by the Deadpool star and insisted on finding out ways to include him. The war of ownership has already begun since November 4.
According to last month’s record, there are many parties who are interested in the ownership bidding. It was even stated that perhaps before Christmas we’ll get to hear some good news. As Ryan commented during an interview with Monias, “I have a real connection to Ottawa for the community of Ottawa”.
Ryan further emphasized that being in an Ottawa community, he can tell the story of the hockey team better than anyone. Needless to say, we are already aware of his storytelling ability. This is not the first Rodeo in the field of sports. Apart from being a successful actor, he is a successful businessman.
“I spent quite a bit of time there when I was younger and I think that the Ottawa Senators as an organization can explode. Not just within its own community, within Canada, but also I think globally.”
If Ryan successfully joins the troop, he’ll bring about explosions in NHL, the likes never-seen-before. Like he did with the docu-series “Welcome to Wrexham”, NHL and the fans expect him to put something similar. It’ll not only help the Senators but the League in general.
