TD Garden, the iconic home of the Boston Bruins and the Boston Celtics, has recently implemented a stringent bag policy. Consequently, it has stirred discontent among a significant portion of its fanbase.

The new directive, effective as of February 17 will involve the deployment of @EvolvTechnology security screening. This will urge patrons to abstain from bringing bags to events.

Notably, the policy specifies that bags larger than 6x4x1.5 inches will not be permitted inside the arena. This move, aimed at expediting entry processes, has sparked a wave of criticism. Female fans felt that the restrictions disproportionately impacted them.

Fans quickly took to social media platforms to voice their opposition. They emphasized the impracticality of the new policy for those who experience menstruation.

This doesn't work for anyone who experiences a period but sure lol.

The outcry extended to broader concerns about gender inclusivity in decision-making processes within the NHL. Fans highlighted the lack of freely provided essential products and the limited capacity of the specified dimensions, causing inconvenience for those with specific medical needs, such as the necessity for an epi-pen.

In response to the backlash, TD Garden faces the challenge of addressing these concerns and striking a balance between security protocols and the diverse needs of its fanbase. The discourse surrounding this issue illuminated the delicate intersection of security measures and inclusivity.
